LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The iconic Brown Hotel will celebrate its 100th year in operation with a Roaring Twenties-themed gala on Oct. 25.

On Oc. 25, 1923, the hotel opened its doors for the first time in the heart of downtown Louisville.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to reach and celebrate such a momentous milestone in our hotel’s history,” said General Manager Brad Walker. “The loyalty of our numerous customers in the city and across the globe over the past century is invaluable to us, and we look forward to celebrating that together with a night to remember right here where it all started.” 

To commemorate the hotel’s century in business, they are inviting guests to adorn their best Roaring Twenties-inspired attire for a night of dining, dancing, prizes and more in the hotel’s opulent crystal ballroom. The anniversary event will feature a night of entertainment including era-themed music performed by a live four-piece band; passed mini hot brown bites and a special anniversary welcome cocktail; commemorative speeches with a toast; a four-course seated dinner featuring a customized, chef-curated menu, wine and assorted dessert table; a hotel history photo presentation; an anniversary-themed photography backdrop; and more. 

The hotel is also launching a social media campaign giveaway at the end of September through early October to offer a series of prizes, including an-house dining package, one-night stay in the hotel’s coveted Ali Suite, and more.

The anniversary gala will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with a dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.
