KENTUCKY — The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off July 20 in Australia and New Zealand, with the U.S. Women’s National Team starting play on July 21.

The U.S.’s first outing in Group E will see them spar with Vietnam at 9 p.m. ET on July 21, considering the intercontinental time difference.

Their second match, against the Netherlands on July 26, also kicks off at 9 p.m. ET. However, their final group stage match against Portugal will start at 3 a.m. ET on Aug. 1.

All games, from the group stage to the final, will be broadcast on Fox, FS1 and Telemundo.

The USWNT is heavily favored to win the World Cup, which would mark an unprecedented third consecutive title. Kentucky is represented on the world stage by Savannah DeMelo, the midfielder in the midst of a breakout season with Racing Louisville FC.
