LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two and a half months after a mass shooting in downtown Louisville, Old National Bank is once again open. The new permanent location for the bank is in the building once called the Aegon Center.

The bank announced at the end of May it was moving to 400 West Market Street in Louisville.

“We mourn the losses and continue to support and care for the victims of the tragic event on April 10th,” said Old National Bank CEO Jim Ryan. “Out of respect for the Old National team members lost and impacted, we have made the determination to move to a new downtown location.”

Old National is on the first floor using the space once occupied by Stock Yards Bank & Trust. Its Commercial, Wealth and Treasury Management team will eventually be on the 25th floor, but it is being renovated. They are temporarily working on the 24th floor.

“We are deeply grateful to Stock Yards Bank & Trust CEO Ja Hillebrand and his team for generously offering and working to consolidate their downtown retail space, allowing us to quickly transition to the historic 400 West Market building,” said Ryan.

The 400 West Market Street sits in the center of Louisville’s business district and offers clients street and garage parking and a pair of ATMs.

A Louisville bank employee armed with a rifle opened fire at his workplace April 10, killing five people. One of those shot, was Louisville Metro Police officer Nikolas Wilt. He continues to recover from his injuries. The shooting, the 15th mass killing in the country this year.
