LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville's El Ellis has entered his name in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Senior guard announced on social media Wednesday.

Ellis thanked his family, friends, coaches and Cards fans in announcing his move, adding that he's retaining eligibility for a possible return to Louisville or transfer to another school if he's not drafted.

The 6-foot-3 Durham, North Carolina native averaged team highs of 17.7 points and 4.4 assists per game in Louisville dismal 2022-23 season.

While head coach Kenny Payne's first season at the helm was a historic low point for the program, it was also the season that Ellis became the only Cardinal other than Darrell Griffith to record multiple 30-point, 5-assist games in a single season.

The NBA Draft will be held June 22, 2023 at the Barclays Center in New York City.
