LEXINGTON, Ky. — Rupp Arena became the space for yet another revival in the commonwealth on Sunday. Pulse Movement, an evangelistic organization that does revival on college campuses, hosted people from all over. Pulse's founder and evangelist, Nick Hall, said it's something that came together quickly. He said Pulse was on a campus tour recently.

What You Need To Know

  •  Pulse Movement hosted a spiritual revival at Rupp Arena Sunday

  •  People came from all over came to Lexington to be part of the spiritual revival

  •  Pulse representatives say they heard about the revival at Asbury University and that inspired them

  • Asbury University's revival made national headlines over the last month, as thousands have traveled to the small campus for the spiritual movement

“In the midst of that, we hear about revival breaking out at Asbury. I had a couple days off. My wife said you have to go,” Hall said.

He said they secured Rupp Arena as a spot and people from all over began lining up outside the arena before the revival’s 2:00 p.m. start time.

In the mix of people was Angela Harmon. She was handing out Bibles to people who may need one.

“I give away Bibles in my car and the Lord told me to bring them on down here,” Harmon said.

Her drive down here to Lexington was about four hours. She’s from Attica, Ind. — Purdue University territory. She said a revival to her meant a renewal in one’s self and a new commitment to the Lord.

“We just get down into our old habits and stuff and we’ve got to come away from that,” Harmon said.

She said she missed the chance to come to Asbury University, just a few miles south of Lexington, but was grateful to see this come to life.

Health officials recently confirmed a case of measles out of a Jessamine County resident who had attended the spiritual revival on Asbury University’s campus.

Harmon said she’s not worried about her health. Hall said they’re doing what they can to be careful.

“We’re going to be careful. We’re not going to have like shared drink bottles or people doing whatever. But wash your hands, be careful, but if God is moving. If something is happening that is literally world-changing, I don’t know about you, but I would be there,” Hall said.
