LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Cardinals shuffled its future football schedules, moving games around as well as adding a few to the mix. 


What You Need To Know

  • The two new additions are home games against Stephen F. Austin and Austin Peay

  • Game changes include those against Notre Dame, the University of South Florida, the University of Richmond and the Virginia Military Institute

  • More details on 2024 dates will be released in the near future

Louisville will now visit Notre Dame on Sept. 28, 2024 instead of the original date in 2026. The game against the University of South Florida will move from Aug. 31, 2024 to Sept. 4, 2027.

In addition, the game against the University of Richmond will move from Sept. 4, 2027 to Sept. 11, 2027. The game against the Virginia Military Institute will also be moved back a few years, from Sept. 14, 2024 to Sept. 8, 2029. 

A home game against Stephen F. Austin has been scheduled for 2030 and another game against Austin Peay is set for Aug. 31, 2024.

The Cardinals said more information on 2024 dates will be released in the near future. 

As for this year's schedule, Louisville will kick off the season on Friday, Sept. 1 in Atlanta against Georgia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. For more details on the 2023 season, click here.
