COVINGTON, Ky. — Nobody struck all six numbers on Friday's Mega Millions Jackpot drawing. Now, the Jackpot soars to $1.1 billion, or a $568.7 million cash option. What would people do with those winnings?
“Man, I mean, it’d just allow you to do whatever you wanted. Try to be financially responsible about it, but at the same time, you could just do whatever you wanted and live the life you wanted, carefree,” said Cory Stace in Covington on Sunday.
Some think winnings might lead to that perfect destination home.
“I would get my mansion in Lake Tahoe California,” said David Schild.
Others said paying off bills or making sure family is taken care of would be where they place their winnings. Mega Millions reports if won at the current amount, it’d be the third largest Jackpot in the game’s history.
“It’s kind of exciting. It’s exciting, kind of just wondering if something’s going to happen for you,” Tina Braden said.
