LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Country music star Morgan Wallen will play at the Louisville KFC Yum! Center on April 20. The stop is just one in a series of shows in his newly announced “One Night at a Time World Tour” that begins March 15 in New Zealand and Australia.
Wallen travels back to the U.S. to perform on 39 dates across 17 venues. Planned locations include New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with singer Parker McCollum.
Wallen named his tour after one of three new songs on his “One Thing At A Time–Sampler”, “One Thing At A Time”. The track “Tennessee Fan,” is a nod to Wallen’s East Tennessee upbringing, along with “Days That End In Why.”
These songs arrive on the heels of his new single at Country radio, “Thought You Should Know,” cowritten with Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Galyon. It currently sits in the Top 20 slot. Wallen’s latest No. 1 track “You Proof” returns to the top of the charts for a sixth, non-consecutive week atop the Country Airplay chart.
The new shows follow up Wallen’s recent 55-city “Dangerous Tour” that wrapped up on Oct. 8.
Wallen said, “Man, what a year 2022 has been with the ‘Dangerous Tour.’ I had the time of my life, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that my fans connected with the Dangerous album the way they did,” Wallen continued.
“I’ve had so many people ask me if I wanted to take some time off; but the truth is, I have been writing and making so much music in my off-time because I feel as inspired as I ever have. It feels like new songs are pouring out of me, and I love that feeling. We are going to run it back next year with the ‘One Night At A Time World Tour.’ Bigger venues. New countries. Bigger memories. See y’all there,” Wallen said.
In 2021, Wallen was dropped by his record label and radio stations refused to play his music after he was captured on video using a racial slur. After the video surfaced, Walled said, “I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back,” Wallen’s statement continued. “There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”
According to Tour organizers, there is no official pre-sale in the U.S. for this tour. They advise fans to only purchase through Ticketmaster Verified Fans. For more information, visit his website.
