KENTUCKY — The University of Kentucky's men's basketball team announced the Blue-White game will be played in eastern Kentucky this October to continue efforts to help families affected by the summer floods.
The game is set for Oct. 22 at Pikeville, Kentucky’s Appalachian Wireless Arena. All ticket revenue will go toward the Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief. More details on tickets, including when they go on sale, will be released at a later date.
"We’re excited to be able to come and play for the fans of eastern Kentucky,” UK head coach John Calipari said in a news release. “This is a unique opportunity for the people in our state who have been affected and we hope we can provide a temporary escape with basketball and community engagement.”
Along with the Blue-White Game, the team will conduct a community service activity for those impacted by the floods through local organizations. Before the game starts, there will also be a pregame Fan Fest outside of Appalachian Wireless Arena.
The game will tip off at 6 p.m.
