KENTUCKY — March Madness is upon us! The top men's and women's college basketball programs learned their seeding for the NCAA Division 1 tournaments on Selection Sunday, and two Kentucky teams earned some of the highest seeds.
Men's tournament
The University of Kentucky men's team, coming off of a disappointing loss to Tennessee in the SEC tournament, earned a No. 2 seed in the East. The Wildcats will have to survive the likes of Purdue, fellow Kentucky team Murray State and defending champions Baylor to make their way to the Final Four.

After a 13-19 finish, the Louisville men's basketball team didn't make it to the Big Dance this year. The Bellarmine Knights won their ASUN tournament, which would have granted them a berth if they weren't in year two of a four-year transition to Division 1. Their seed was given to Jacksonville State.
No. 1 seeds in the men's tournament were given to Baylor, Gonzaga, Arizona and Kansas.
The NCAA men's tournament tips off with the First Four on March 15. You can find the live bracket here.
Women's tournament
The state of Kentucky boasts strong representation in the women's NCAA tournament this year.
Louisville earned a No. 1 seed in the Wichita region, rightfully so after a dominating 25-4 finish. Kentucky starts their dance in Bridgeport as a No. 6 seed.
