KENTUCKY — A large snow front on Thursday blanketed the Commonwealth. Combined with frigid temperatures, the storm caused a lot of traffic headaches throughout the state.
Some of the largest snowfall recorded was 7 to 8 inches around Elizabethtown. Lexington had 4 to 5 inches, and far western Kentucky had about 3 inches as snowfall.
Temperatures are rising well above freezing on Saturday, letting what's left of the snow and ice on Kentucky roadways thaw out.
