LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Future Healers will offer unique learning opportunities for children facing hardships.

What You Need To Know

  • Louisville Zoo is collaborating with community activist Christopher 2x to promote unique educational opportunities

  • Future Healers will involve children 4-13 years old from undeserved and mostly minority neighborhoods

  • Children participating will have special learning experiences at the Louisville Zoo never before offered

  • Point 4 goes here

The Louisville Zoo is launching a new partnership that will allow children from undeserved neighborhoods to grow a stronger bond and understanding with animals and the planet.

Think of this as the most immersive exhibit the Louisville Zoo has ever offered. Children ages 4 to 13 will spend time with the medical staffs of UofL Health and the educational curator of the Louisville Zoo.

“It’s just a wonderful opportunity and it’s just a blessing to see my kids experience this type of work," Heaven Bryant told Spectrum News 1.

Bryant has four children involved in the new program which aims to lift up children who may have or are experiencing hardships. Bryant’s children will be known as Future Healers. It's another initative created by Louisville activist and childhood educational advocate Christopher 2x who has gained notoriety for his Game Changers program which also serves Louisville youth.

“They come from undeserved communities and poor communities and specifically the communities of color," Christopher 2x explained. " ... will kind of give these kids a special deal behind the scenes that they would never be privy to and to help them grow and help them grow into more caring hearts.” And hopefully, humanitarian hearts and as 2x put it “Planet Savers.”

Heaven Bryant is proud to have four young caring hearts, excited to dive into the Future Healers program, grateful for Christopher 2x’s spotlight on children.

“Create opportunities for kids to experience stuff when they go through pain at young age and I think that’s the most beautiful thing ... I never see him stop working with all types of people and he really has a special heart," Bryant says of Christopher 2x.
