TOKYO — Former Wildcats are continuing to make their mark in Tokyo after University of Kentucky track and field alumni Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Team Puerto Rico and Keni Harrison of Team USA won gold and silver in the 100m hurdles. Sydney McLaughlin also qualified for the 400m hurdles final on day four of the Olympic track and field competition.

McLaughlin, the 400m hurdles world record-holder, had the top time of the field in the 400m semifinals (53.03). Camacho-Quinn earned the gold medal with a time of 12.37 but broke the Olympic record in the semifinals with a time of 12.26.
The gold medal makes up for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, where Camacho-Quinn led her semifinal heat into the last few hurdles before crashing out before the finish line.
The world record-holder in the 100m hurdles, Harrison ran for silver in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.52. She missed out on joining Team USA in 2016, but won every other race she ran that year.
The 400m hurdles final, featuring McLaughlin, will commence Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
