LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Fancy Farm is the annual kickoff to the political season. Last year, COVID-19 kept politics away but in 2021 things will be back on track. 

The list of speakers confirmed to be at the picnic this year was released. Those planning to attend include:

  • 1st District Congressman James Comer
  • Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles 
  • Secretary of State Michael Adams 
  • Auditor Mike Harmon

  • U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell

  • Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman 
  • Attorney General Daniel Cameron 
  • Treasurer Allison Ball.
  • Local Rep. Richard Heath 
  • State Sen. Jason Howell 

Former Secretary of State Bob Babbage will emcee this year's event which is known for its barbecue and as a news release described its "spirited atmosphere."

Fancy Farm is still more than a month away so the speaker's list can change. The annual picnic and political stumping ground is also a fundraiser for St. Jerome Catholic Church in Graves County. Fancy Farm is set to take place on August 7. The picnic begins at 10 a.m. and the speaking starts up at 2 p.m.
