LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Bats will play in front of a full crowd once again. Louisville Slugger Field received the green light to return to full capacity for the remainder of the 2021 baseball season.

It's been 660 days since Louisville Slugger Field was able to be at full capacity. They were able to play in front of reduced-capacity crowds, but Tuesday night's game marks a return to normalcy.
“We’re so thrilled to welcome back a full crowd to Louisville Slugger Field," said Louisville Bats Executive Vice President Greg Galiette. “The best part of each season is seeing the smiling faces on fans at the ballpark night in and night out.”
The Louisville Bats want a full house for re-opening night. That's why there is a buy one, get one free special for tickets to the game. There will also be $1 concessions. Plus, fans can catch a fireworks display after the game.
The game starts at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
This is the latest team in the Commonwealth to return to full capacity. Both the Florence Y'alls and the Lexington Legends returned to full capacity June 11 when Gov. Andy Beshear lifted most COVID-19 restrictions.
Louisville City FC hosted a full crowd June 12. It was the first time ever having a packed crowd at Lynn Family Stadium, as that venue opened during the pandemic.
