LEXINGTON, Ky. — Graduation season is nearing, and seniors at Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) will celebrate with in-person ceremonies. The six commencement ceremonies will be on May 19 and 20 in Rupp Arena with limited audiences due to COVID-19.
What You Need To Know
- Fayette County schools to hold in-person commencement ceremonies
- Ceremonies will be held at Rupp Arena
- Each graduate may bring four guests
- Last day of school for FCPS is May 18
At the arena's current capacity, each graduate will receive four tickets for guests. FCPS said it will notify the seniors' families if that number increases.
Below is the schedule for the ceremonies:
Wednesday, May 19
- 10 a.m. – Henry Clay
- 2 p.m. – Frederick Douglass
- 6 p.m. – Tates Creek
Thursday, May 20
- 10 a.m. – Lafayette
- 2 p.m. – Bryan Station
- 6 p.m. – Paul Laurence Dunbar
FCPS said to direct any questions to the senior's high school.
The last day of school for FCPS is May 18.
