LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two of Kentucky's mainstays, bourbon and the Kentucky Derby Festival (KDF), are teaming up. On Friday, Four Roses announced it's releasing a commemorative Derby Festival Poster Special Selection Single Barrel Bourbon, which features the image of the 2021 Derby Festival's official poster and a single barrel bourbon selected by Festival officials. Louisville artist Andy Perez designed the poster.

“This year’s poster really captures the spirit of the Derby Festival, and now you can also find it featured on Kentucky’s favorite spirit,” said Matt Gibson, KDF president and CEO. “The bottle is a special collector’s item for Festival and bourbon fans alike.”

In January, festival representatives, along with Master Distiller Brent Elliot, participated in a virtual barrel tasting and selection to choose their favorite barrel of Four Roses.

The special selection bottle will hit shelves on Friday at Kroger Wine & Spirits located at 12501 Shelbyville Rd. in Middletown for $74.99. Limited quantities will be available.

Fans can have their bottles signed by Elliot and Perez, who will both be on hand for a special event Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Masks are required, and COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place at the signing.

This year's official poster is titled "Going Up," featuring a colorful pegasus. You can purchase the poster and have it signed at the signing Friday night.
