LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year begins Monday, Jan. 25. for Fayette County Public schools. 

Online registration is open for children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1.

There are several other requirements and forms needed for registration. You can see them all on the FCPS website. Parents and guardians will also find the online registration instructions on the site. If you have questions you can call the Pupil Personnel staff at 859-381-4130.

To apply for preschool

Families can apply online for the Fayette County Preschool Program, but you should know those applications aren't processed until late April. District staff determines if children are eligible for the preschool program. Families will not learn if their child can begin preschool until after April.
