LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Cards fans will see some new faces on the football field in 2021 as the team announced 21 new recruits to the 2021 signing class.

Head Coach Scott Satterfield shared news of the group that includes 13 defensive players and eight offensive players, with 10 student-athletes enrolling in January.

The Cardinals will see six new defensive linemen and six new defensive backs next season. Offensive recruits include two wide receivers, offensive linemen, and tight ends.

All in all, the Cards found recruits from nine states — six from Georgia and four from Florida.

2021's recruiting class is headlined by notable four-star safety Benjamin Perry from Country Hills, Ill. Perry is joined by safeties Bralyn Oliver and T.J. Quinn, as well as a pair of Miami, Fla., cornerbacks Rance Conner and Derrick Edwards.

Satterfield recognized the team's needs on defense by focusing heavily on the defensive line — Victoine Brown, Caleb Banks, Ryheem Craig, Ashton Gillotte, and R.J. Sorensen will all be holding the line next year.
