LEXINGTON, Ky. — After being postponed in late March due to the coronavirus pandemic, the University of Kentucky (UK) is hosting a virtual commencement ceremony for its December 2020 graduates.
The ceremony can be viewed online on Friday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. EST. It will feature many familiar portions of a traditional in-person commencement including messages from UK President Eli Capilouto, the president of UK's Alumni Association, and a multitude of surprise guests and recognition of the graduates.

UK's Board of Trustees is set to approve the conferral of 1,854 degrees from the university's December 2020 graduates. Those who graduated in August are also eligible to participate in December's virtual ceremony.
Among the graduates on Friday will be 22 Wildcat athletes. Below is a list of expected graduate athletes:
