LEXINGTON, Ky. — With 10 days left before the election, Democrat Amy McGrath is urging Kentuckians to vote early to avoid long lines at the polls on November 3. McGrath says this year, the state has made it easy for everyone to get their voices heard in this election.
“You can do it today, you know and inspire your friends and your family and your Grandparents and grandchildren to get out and vote and do it early,” McGrath said.
The rally was filled with musicians playing music for the crowd and between sets, the artists would explain why it was important for their votes to be counted and what changes they wanted to see with the upcoming elections.
McGrath not only encouraged Kentuckians to vote, but she also is asking for people to take these 10 days that are left to do more to get their voices heard.
“Especially for those of us who have served, we know we got to do more and that means doing whatever you can for the next 10 days. Do you something every single day for the next 10 days for your country,” McGrath said.
After the rally, many who attended, caravaned to the polling sites to get their early votes in.
Early voting in Lexington is available Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at any of the eight locations in Lexington.
