The victim is 17-year-old Kenneth Wayne Bottoms, according to the Fayette County Coroner's Office. After he was shot, EMS transported Bottoms to UK Medical Center where he died around 6:10 p.m. Funeral arrangements will be managed by O.L. Hughes & Sons Mortuary of Lexington.

The other two who were shot include a 41-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, both of whom suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Following the shooting, the mall was placed on lockdown, and then mall patrons and employees were evacuated. The Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit searched and cleared the facility," said a release from the Lexington Police department.
