LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory will reopen its doors June 11 after being closed for nearly three months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The museum will follow guidance provided by Gov. Andy Beshear (D) and implement new safety measures, including social distancing floor graphics, reduced tour sizes, stepped-up sanitizing protocols and requiring masks for all guests and team members. Masks will be available for guests who don't have one.
To assist with the museum's traffic flow, guests are encouraged to purchase timed tickets online.
Tours will be limited to 10 people and feature a newly-recorded narration so that tour guides can assist with social distancing and other safety procedures at each stop.
Another new feature is that guests will be permitted to take pictures inside the factory during their tour; however, flash-photography and videography are not allowed.
The museum will be open five days a week and may be adjusted moving forward. The museum's hours are:
- Thursday thru Saturday – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Sunday – 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Monday – 8:00AM to 4:00 PM
- Tuesday and Wednesday – Closed
- Vulnerable population hours: Monday & Thursday – 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
“We are thrilled to reopen the doors of the museum, and we’ll keep the safety of our guests and team members as the highest priority,” said Anne Jewell, vice president and executive director at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. “The entire museum team has worked diligently to ensure we’re following all recommended guidelines while still creating an extraordinary experience for each guest walking through our doors.
