FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. — Children in Fayette County will not need to worry about food during the summer.

Fayette County Public Schools, God’s Pantry Food Bank, and Employment Solutions participate in the “Kids Eat” Summer Food Service Program, which provides free meals for all children age 18 and younger.

All the meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at certain locations, on certain dates, and times. This is open to anyone under 18 regardless of where they live or what school they go to.

Here is a link to all the sites and the schedule.

This federal United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) program, fills the nutrition gap when school is out. For questions, contact Michelle Coker, director of Child Nutrition in Fayette County Public Schools, at (859) 381-3846.
