LOUISVILLE, Ky - First you take the largest UPS airport in the world and then you add the, "Holidays."
Let's just say Louisville's UPS Worldport is in the middle of its peak season. Bewtween Thanksgiving and Christmas the number of parcels passing through doubles from two million a day to four.
"Try to order your stuff early so that the last couple of days before Christmas it isn’t so crazy for us who work here," is the best advice slash request Timberly Cravens can offer.
The Worldport employee unloads large airshipped containers inside a massive building filled with converyor belts and scanning lights. But she's not alone. The largest UPS hub in the world employees thousands including several relatives of Cravens.
“One of my uncles works here on nights and an aunt works here on nights. My dad used to work at UPS, a couple of cousins and one of my brothers is thinking about working here,"
Cravens tells Spectrum News 1. Even with how hard employees are working during the holidays you can't wait forever and expect packages to arrive in time for Christmas.
