LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Even longtime residents are taking this tour through Louisville's downtown. The city's Visitor Center hosts the free tours begining at its 4th localtion.

“I love people and I love to expose them to Louisville. Having been raised here I’ve seen the changes that have been so positive.”

Volunteer tour guide Patty Morris can't get enough of it. The retired high school teacher meets people from around the world as they travel through her city. For an hour at a time Morris showcases the history of Louisville including how it was founded, the bourbon industry and even its notable architecture.

Each tour starts at the the Visitor Center and pushes north to the river.

“The Ohio runs for 981 miles," Morris tells her group as she recounts General George Rogers Clark trip across the Ohio River. Morris is an ambassador of the city and so are all the volunteer guides.
