LOUISVILLE, Ky. - President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Louisville next week to stump for Governor Matt Bevin.
Bevin's campaign announced the president will come to Louisville August 21 to attend a fundraiser for the governor who is seeking re-election.
Campaign manager, David Paine said "Governor Bevin is thankful for President Trump's friendship and strong support. The Trump-Bevin economy has created over 55,000 jobs, leading to the lowest unemployment in Kentucky history. The governor looks forward to furthering that partnership as they continue to work together to move Kentucky forward."
Vice president Mike Pence made an appearance with Bevin August 8 in southeastern Kentucky.
Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi will elect governors in 2019.
