LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Kentucky's two senaotors are on the mend. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell fell over the weekend and Senator Rand Paul had surgery.
McConnell, fresh of an appearance at Fancy Farm on Saturday, broke his shoulder Sunday after he tripped and fell in his home. Communications Director David Popp said the 77-year-old "tripped at home on his outside patio and suffered a fractured shoulder. He has been treated, released, and is working from home in Louisville."
Paul sent out a tweet Monday morning sharing he underwent lung surgery over the weekend.
Paul was attacked by his neighbor two years ago. This is his second surgery related to that incident. In January, Paul had hernia surgery to repair damage from the assault.
