It appears Daniel Cameron has caught the attention of President Donald Trump.

The president took to twitter to announce his "full and complete endorsement" of the Republican Attorney General candidate.

Daniel Cameron is reacting to the endorsement of Trump.

“It’s truly an honor to be endorsed by the President. And it’s humbling to be recognized as a future leader of our party,” Cameron said in a statement. “To the people of Kentucky, I pledge to you this: as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of our Commonwealth, I will fight for you every day and work with every fiber of my being to restore honor and integrity to the role of Attorney General. I will proudly stand with President Trump and federal law enforcement to address the drug crisis and combat illegal immigration.”

It appears Cameron was at the White House before the endorsement, with him tweeting out a picture of the endorsement tweet printed out and signed by the president.

Daniel Cameron is facing Democrat Greg Stumbo for the seat.

President Trump has also endorsed Gov. Matt Bevin for governor.
