BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - A call to action from a Kentucky foster care worker leads to a viral Facebook post.

Vanessa Sewell is a family development specialist and foster family recruiter at Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) in Bowling Green.

Sewell writes that she picked up an 11-year-old a few days ago, so he could move in with a family.

But most of his possessions were stuffed into two trash bags. Other foster kids arrive with their stuff in garbage bags as well.

So Sewell took her plea to social media, asking for people to donate their used luggage, so foster children have a dignified way to move their things.

Sewell's post has been shared more than 18-thousand times.

There are needs all across the state.
