LEXINGTON, Ky. - Lextran, Lexington's bus system, wants to spruce up it's fleet by having kids decorate their buses.  In its inaugural Bus Wrap Design Contest, Lextran wants to feature artwork that will be seen all around the city.

The contest is open to children ages six through twelve.  Your child's artwork must be submitted by July 5 and winners will be announced on or before July 19.

The first place winner will have their art showcased on a bus for atleast three months. In addition, the top three artists will receive a $130 play card from Malibu Jack's.

“We are excited to offer one of our buses as a canvas for young Lexingtonians,” said Carrie Butler, Lextran General Manager. “I’m sure the designs we see will be the kind only children can dream up: imaginative, creative, and fun!”

The theme for this year's contest is "We move people." Artists are being asked to use this tagline as the inspiration for thieir design.
