LOUISVILLE, Ky. - You will soon be paying more to cross the three bridges connecting Louisville to Southern Indiana. A 2.5 percent rate increase goes into effect July 1.
Cars currently payu $2.05 per crossing if you have a prepaid account and transponder. The rate will now be $2.10. New toll rates range from $2.10 to $12.61 depending on the size of the vehicle and whether the driver has a prepaid account.
Toll rates go up every year 2.5 percent, unless the rate of inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, is higher. Tolls will increase every July 1.
Drivers using prepaid accounts and transponders pay less than those without it. Having the transponders saves more than $2 per crossing. You can sign up for an account here.
