FRANKFORT, Ky. - Need to get an exhibit to the Kentucky State Fair but can't make the trip? No worries, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the University of Kentucky (UK) Cooperative Extenion Service will bring your wares to Louisvlle.
Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles says he knows it difficult for a lot of residents of the Commonwealth to make the trip to Louisville because of various transportation issues. . “This service will enable many people to participate in their state fair where they otherwise might not be able to. We are pleased to once again work with our partners at UK and the Kentucky State Fair to provide this service.”
In order to participate you have to fill out an entry form with the Kentucky State Fair by July 1 and pay your exhibitor fee. Next, you must deliver your exhibits from July 29 to August 6 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. local times. KDA employees will deliver the exhibits to the Kentucky Exposition Center by August 9.
Here are the drop-off locations:
· the Christian County Extension Office in Hopkinsville;
· the Laurel County Extension Office in London;
· the McCracken County Extension Office in Paducah;
· the Montgomery County Extension Office in Mt. Sterling; and
· the Taylor County Extension Office in Campbellsville.
