KENTUCKY — On this week’s “In Focus Kentucky” program, State Sen. Amanda Mays Bledsoe, R-Lexington joins the program to discuss legislative priorities for the 2025 Kentucky General Assembly legislative session.
The 30-day “short session” is constitutionally divided into two parts. The first four legislative days started the first week of January. Legislators will reconvene on Tuesday, Feb. 4, to continue their work on behalf of the Commonwealth.
During this segment, Sen. Bledsoe discusses her excitement to take on greater responsibilities this year, which includes remaining the Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee’s vice chair, and adding a new leadership role as Senate Families and Children vice chair. She also is the co-chair of the Commission on Race and Access to Opportunity.
