Sen. Morgan McGarvey joins In Focus Kentucky during 'Opening Week at the 2020 Kentucky General Assembly' to discuss some of the top priorities from the Senate Democratic perspective.

McGarvey represents Senate District 19, which covers part of Jefferson County. He also is the Minority Floor Leader, which is a position he has held since December 2018.

During this segment, McGarvey discusses several topics including: the importance of crafting a 2-year budget during the next 60 days + explains why he disagrees with Senate Bill 1, proposed by Senate Republicans and says it's just "a political stunt."
