This evening will be pleasant with temperatures in the 70s under a mostly sunny sky. The only exception will be far northern Kentucky around Covington. This is where showers will develop around an area of low pressure to the north.

Showers continue in northern Kentucky overnight. The rest of the state will be mostly clear and dry. It won't be as chilly as last night, with lows in the upper 50s to low-60s.

Tomorrow's Forecast

Wednesday will feature a blend of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 70s in northern and eastern Kentucky. The rest of the state will reach the lower to middle 80s. It will be a little breezy as the winds gust 20 to 30 mph. The Covington area may see a pop-up shower in the afternoon.

2. H-L: DOJ reaches agreement with Central Ky. school district over racial harassment issues

Black and multi-racial students were called racial slurs “and subjected to other derogatory racial comments by their peers," the DOJ said in a statement.

3. U.S. consumer price growth slowed last month, though underlying inflation measures stayed high

Measured year over year, inflation slowed to just 4% in May — the lowest 12-month figure in over two years, driven by tumbling gas prices and smaller increases in grocery prices and other items.

4. Community Policing Council begins meeting with residents

The city hopes the meetings will help build trust with reidents with a goal to act as part of the community rather than isolate from it.
