1. Louisville Police release chilling 911 calls from mass shooting

Calls included some from workers inside the bank and one from the shooter's mother.

2. Family of Louisville bank shooter saw 'no warning signs' ahead of 'shocking' massacre

The 25-year-old bank employee who killed five and wounded eight others in his workplace with an AR-15 before being shot dead by police had mental health issues that were "actively being addressed," the shooter's family said.

3. Cheaper gas and food provide some relief from U.S. inflation

Measured from a year earlier, prices were up just 5% in March, down sharply from February’s 6% year-over-year increase and the smallest rise in nearly two years.

4. NPR quits Elon Musk's Twitter over 'government-funded' label

NPR's main account had not tweeted since April 4. On Wednesday, it sent a series of tweets listing other places to find its journalism.
