Although we won’t be greeted with the blue skies on Thursday morning, you can look forward to another mild day. Temperatures will reach the 50s for all of the Commonwealth.

1. Kentucky Blood Center needing donations as seasonal factors impact supply

The universal blood type, o-negative, is currently in high demand at the Kentucky Blood Center.

2. Southwest Airlines flight cancellations continue to snowball

According to the FlightAware tracking service, more than 91% of all canceled flights in the U.S. early Wednesday were from Southwest, which has been unable to recover from ferocious winter storms that raked large swaths of the country over the weekend.

3. New historical marker memorializes Breonna Taylor, 2020 racial justice protests

Mayor Greg Fischer on Wednesday joined family and friends of Breonna Taylor, David McAtee and Tyler Gerth to unveil the new historical marker in Jefferson Square Park.

4. At least 34 dead in Buffalo area from massive winter storm, county exec says

The death toll from a pre-Christmas blizzard that paralyzed the Buffalo, N.Y., area and much of the country continues to rise as the region prepares for more snow.
