LEXINGTON, Ky. - Three members of Mark Stoops' team have been named to the 2019 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference teams. Wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr., center Drake Jackson and offensive guard Logan Stenberg  were chosen by the league Thursday.

Bowden earned three different spots on the three teams, including as the all-purpose threat on the second team., wide receiver and return specialist on the third-team.  Senior Stenberg was also named to the second-team offense and junior Jackson was named a third-team selection. Coaches were not allowed to vote on their own players.

Youngstown, Ohio native, Bowden is coming off a record-breaking season for UK. He broke the school record for most receptions by a sophomore (67) and he led the Cats in catches, reveiving yards (745) touchdown receptions (five) and most catches in a season since Randall Cobb. 

Stenberg, from Madison, Alabama, has played in 38 career games, starting the last 26 for the Wildcats. The team says the 6-foot-6, 320-pounder is indispensable in the unit that helped with the UK ground attack. He is an SEC Honor Roll member and graduated in May 2019 with a degree in strategic communication and is currently working on a second communication degree.

Versailles, Kentucky native Jackson, started at center in all 13 games last season, giving him 20 consecutive starts. He had 33 knowdowns blocks.

Kenucky opens the season August 31 at noon against Toledo.
