LEXINGTON, Ky. — Some of the biggest names in country music are descending on Lexington next month to raise money for eastern Kentucky flood relief.

Chris Stapleton, Dwight Yoakam and Tyler Childers are co-headliners for the one-night-only Kentucky Rising benefit concert at Rupp Arena. The show will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. ET.

As a way to give back to Kentucky, 100% of the show's net proceeds will benefit the titular Kentucky Rising Fund to support ongoing flood relief and recovery in eastern Kentucky. Organizers with the Blue Grass Community Foundation said the fund will benefit victims, their families and first responders alike.

Stapleton, 44, was born in Lexington and grew up in Staffordsville. His latest album, Starting Over, was released in 2020 and earned the Grammy Award for Best Country Album.

A Pikeville native, the 65-year-old Yoakam earned mainstream fame in 1986 with his album, Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc.

Childers, 31, hails from Lawrence County in eastern Kentucky. The bluegrass singer-songwriter has released four studio albums, with his fifth album, Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?, slated for release on Sept. 30, 2022.
