LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man in connection with the June 11 shootings at the Big Four Bridge in downtown Louisville.

William Devon Thompson Jr. is charged with six counts of assault and one count of disorderly conduct.

On Saturday, June 11, six people were shot at the park by the Big Four Bridge, including Thompson’s 9-year-old son, who was grazed by a bullet said LMPD. 

 

LMPD released a series of pictures of the suspect on social media and asked the public to offer any information. LMPD’s homicide unit arrested Thompson Thursday afternoon. They handled the investigation because of the severity of the injuries of those hurt.

According to an LMPD report, there have been 174 non-fatal shootings this year.
