LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky Kingdom is known for its thrilling rides, but it'll soon be offering full rides – to college, that is – for all employees.

- Employees at Kentucky Kingdom and the Newport Aquarium will soon be eligible for free college
- Herschend Enterprises, which owns both attractions, will cover 100% of tuition, fees and books as part of a new program
- All employees – seasonal, part-time and full-time – are eligible on their first day of work
- Employees will be able to choose from over 100 diploma, degree and certificate programs in Guild Education's learning marketplace
Herschend Enterprises, the attractions company that took over ownership of Kentucky Kingdom in 2021, recently announced it would cover 100% of tuition, fees and books for all seasonal, part-time and full-time workers at all of its 25 U.S. attractions.
The company also owns the Newport Aquarium in Northern Kentucky, where employees will also qualify for free tuition.
The program, dubbed Herschend's GROW U, will launch on Feb. 24, 2022. All workers can sign up on their first day on the job.
"Herschend's GROW U is not only a significant and transformational investment in our employee's growth but also our love culture in action," said Andrew Wexler, CEO of Herschend Enterprises.
Employees will be able to choose from over 100 diploma, degree and certificate programs in Guild Education's learning marketplace, which features programs in fields including finance, business administration, technology and marketing.
Partial funding of up to $5,250/year for 150 other programs will also be available, Herschend said in a press release.
Kentucky Kingdom is holding a job fair in Louisville on Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
