The NCAA added the charges to the school's existing notice of allegations that the program was already facing over the recruitment of Brian Bowen.
New charges allege that the Cards allowed managers and graduate assistants to practice with the team, and created personalized recruiting videos in violation of NCAA by-laws.
But the most eye-opening new charge is one leveled at Head Coach Chris Mack.
The NCAA said "Mack did not demonstrate that he promoted an atmosphere for compliance due to his personal involvement in the violations and/or the impermissible conduct being done at his direction."
Louisville issued a statement saying they are still reviewing the charges, but expect them to push back the timeline of resolving the notice of allegations. The process is now likely to last at least through next spring.
In late August, UofL suspended Mack for six games over his handling of the Gaudio extortion attempt.
