LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Vandals thought the giant bat outside of the Louisville Slugger Museum and Bat Factory (LSMF) needed a new paint job, so they bathed the bat in large amounts of red paint.

The paint covered a large section of the base of the bat which stands 120 feet tall.

Museum staff and crews spent Labor Day morning cleaning up the paint by scrubbing and power blasting it off.

Vice President of Corporate Communications with Hillerich & Bradsby, Rick Redding issued a statement and in it, he said, "Security camera video captured the act. We will be sharing the video with authorities. LSMF remains open for business."
