SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. — The Bullitt County Health Department has confirmed multiple employees at an Amazon Fulfillment warehouse tested positive for the coronavirus.
The building – called SDF-9 – is one of two massive warehouses on the campus. The Bullitt County Health Department said, in a statement, Amazon has temporarily closed the affected building for a deep clean, and that the department is working with the company on social distancing measures. The employees are residents of other counties, and the statement warned locals not to get complacent and, generally, expect future positive cases in people from the county.
All of this going on while the online retail giant tries to meet the demand for increased orders during the virus.
Spectrum News 1 reached out to the Bullitt County Health Department and Amazon, but neither has returned our calls.
