NATIONWIDE — Faulty fuel pumps that could cause sudden stalling has Toyota recalling close to 700,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles. 

The defective fuel pumps could set off a warning light on the instrument panel when it malfunctions, and cause a rough-running engine that could stall.

The Georgetown, Kentucky Toyota plant makes models that are affected in the recall. The plant makes Camry, Avalon, and the Lexus ES350.

Here are the affected cars:

Toyota:

  • Sienna
  • Camry
  • Tacoma 
  • Highlander
  • Tundra 
  • Land Cruiser
  • Sequoia
  • Avalon (2019 only)
  • Corolla (2019 only)

Lexus:

  • RX 350
  • LS 500
  • RC 350
  • RC 300
  • GS 350
  • IS 300
  • ES 350
  • LX 570
  • GX 460

"Toyota is currently investigating this issue and will be developing a remedy," Toyota said in a statement. "All known owners of the affected vehicles will be notified by first-class mail by mid-March.

The vehicles involved include certain 2018-2019 Lexus and Toyota models.
