UNION, Ky. - A Northern Kentucky business owner who's accused of misuing funds intended for needy children is no longer listed as a host for Governor Matt Bevin's July 18th fundraiser, that's according to Davis Paine,  Bevin's Campaign Manager. Paine also told Spectrum News 1 that the accused man never made any contributions to Bevin's reelection campaign.

Fulmer allegedly padded his own pockets with money intended to go toward Larry’s Kids Foundation, a nonprofit which helps needy children in the Walton-Verona school district pay for things they may not be able to afford themselves.

The fundraiser which is being held July 18 in Union, had orignially listed Fulmer and his wife as hosts.

A search of the Kentucky Registry of Campaign Finance shows Fulmer donated $1,000 to Bevin’s campaign in 2016, but has no other donations listed.

The fundraiser lists Congressman Thomas Massie, R-KY Dist. 4, as an honorary host, several Northern Kentucky lawmakers are listed as hosts as well.

This story was updated July 6 to include new information from Governor Bevin's Campaign Manager.
