FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Andy Beshear confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in Kentucky.

Currently, the novel coronavirus has been confirmed in Jefferson, Fayette, and Harrison counties. Beshear said Jefferson and Fayette counties so far have one patient each while Harrison County has two cases.

 

 

 

Beshear said a total of 21 Kentuckians have been tested for the virus. Seventeen results have been negative in addition to the four positive results.

The governor addressed Kentuckians in a Facebook live Sunday evening. He reminded Kentuckians to stay calm, practice good hygiene and to stay home if they feel ill.

Kentucky is still under a state of emergency, so there are proper resources to respond to potential new cases.

The Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH) is actively responding to the COVID-19 situation. The State Health Operations Center is operating at Level 1, its highest activation level.
