Amber is a St. Louis native and a proud graduate of the University of Missouri. Prior to joining Spectrum News, Amber was an anchor/reporter in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, St. Joseph, Missouri, and Columbia, Missouri. She also spent some time covering international politics abroad when working as an intern at Reuters in Brussels, Belgium. She has received recognition for her work, including Edward R. Murrow, Kentucky Broadcast Association, Missouri Broadcast Association, and Associated Press awards.
Amber joined Spectrum News Kentucky not long after its initial launch and has been involved in many of the station’s growth initiatives. She joined the team as a weekend morning anchor and reporter in April 2019. Two years later, Amber moved to weekday mornings to play a role in the station’s expansion of Your Morning News. In Oct. 2021, she was promoted to her current role co-anchoring the weeknight newscasts.
Amber has delivered real-time updates keeping Kentuckians informed about changes in the Breonna Taylor case, the COVID-19 pandemic, catastrophic tornadoes, and historic flooding. She understands the weight that comes with being a first-hand account of history.
It’s not all heavy news, though. Through her reporting, Amber has met Kentuckians in every corner of the state. She believes in strong storytelling and shining a light on people going above and beyond to improve the community. Amber has fallen in love with the Bluegrass State and the great people in it.
In her free time, you can find Amber reading a new book, taking hot yoga or cycling classes, enjoying a walk outside with her Frenchie or spending time with family.
