Mario Anderson has been an anchor/reporter for Spectrum News since November 2017. Mario is also the host of In Focus Kentucky, a 30-minute public affairs talk show on Spectrum News Kentucky. Every Sunday at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Mario invites experts from around the commonwealth to discuss a wide range of issues impacting Kentuckians.

In October 2021 Mario was promoted to full-time anchor. He is co-anchor of "Your Morning News."

Mario's previous stops as a general assignment reporter have been at the local CBS and ABC television affiliates in Lexington.

His professional background also includes working locally for Zipie, Cumulus Broadcasting and the Lexington Legends minor league baseball team in a variety of content creation, marketing, promotions, media/community relations and social media management roles.

Mario was born and raised in the Bluegrass State and is proud to be an Eastern Kentucky University Colonel.

He's also a proud dad to his daughter, Skylar, and husband to Lindsay.
